Why the name? If you have seen the movie [Spaceballs] , then this will be easy. See this photo of me racing my Subaru in my very first AutoX? Can you see the size of my "Pepboys Special" helmet? Well, the guys at the track sure noticed it. Ed Quini said I looked like Lord Dark Helmet, and the laughter began. As quip after quip rolled off of our tongues, the idea to go with a [Spaceballs] themed racing MO popped into my head. And thus is born... Ludicrous-Speed.com
