Nope, not the kit.  Nope, not a donor car.  About 3 years prior to the official start of the project, I bought A motor off of Craigslist.  It was too good of a deal to let it go.  $500 for a 1999 Explorer 5.0L with <98k miles on the clock, and all the accessories included.  Since I was going to be going with a GT40p setup anyway, and since they cost about $250 to buy alone, why not a whole motor for only a few more dollars!  Done.  I should be able to sell at least $200, perhaps $250 worth of extra parts too.

The First Purchase

January 31, 2015. Nope, not the kit. Nope, not a donor car. About 2 years prior to the official start of the project, I bought A motor off of Craigslist.
